trip pictures

11.19.2000» Almost a month ago, a calculus professor, and two sleepy ex-students of hers made a daunting trip to the state capital (Lansing, Michigan) to give a presentation on how graphing calculators can help create interest in calculus. Or something.

More interestingly, afterwards, we all went to this cool science museum. Here are the pictures.

P.S.: These pictures are rather large. 170k-ish. Perfect for your computers desktop! If you're into that sort of thing.

  • Sleepy... Jason looks less than pleased at being up so early...
  • Ahead on our Way. The entrance to the muy cool museum!
  • What does this do? I won't say what happened directly after this frame, but the ER was crowded...
  • Where have you been all my life? Jason and his close friend, Annete. Okay, that was bad.
  • Bubbles! Its like that one scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, except with bigger bubbles, no floating, and a noticeable lack of Oompa-Loompas.
  • Bubbles 2! Kathy proves it once and for all: Size does matter.
  • Mesh. The last thing a tennis ball ever sees.
  • The truth! I've been saying it all along...
  • What goes around... Yeah, yeah, I look like a big greasy retard. Sue me.
  • Kathzilla. HER TI-86 IS BIGGER THAN THIS BILLBOARD.
  • Yikes. I must have eaten a lot of paint chips as a child.
  • Insert Manaiacal Laughter Kathy imagines she's back in class, with me in the front row...
  • Awww... Jason prooves that he'll always have a spot in our hearts...
  • Push! Muffled thuds were heard in the background...
  • CPR I'd write a funny caption for this picture, but I think its actually just funnier to point out that Jason was punching that CPR dummy in the chest full force...

Well, thats as far as picture taking went before we ran out of space on the old digital camera, and much fun was had by all! Buh-bye now, folks!
